The Board of Elders

The role of the Board of Elders is to be the primary governing group of the church, responsible in providing spiritual oversight and ensuring the ongoing health and growth of the church and its ministries. While the day-to-day operation of the church is handled by the Executive Minister, the Pastoral Team, and the staff, the Board of Elders holds the Executive Minister accountable and gives attention to the overall vision, direction and health of the church.

Levi P. Quir, M. Div. Th. D
Chief Elder

Pastor Levi is the current Executive Minister of DCAGC since 2003 and was ordained as minister by the Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches of the Philippines (CAMACOP, Inc.). Sixteen years of his extensive ministry experience includes teaching, pastoring and leadership training. He had his short-term Mission exposure to Malaysia, Brunei and Thailand. Also, he is a gifted pastor-teacher with good English speaking and writing skills. His personal strengths include being a visionary, the ability to teamwork, adaptability to other culture, and computer literacy. He earned his Doctor of Theology (Th. D.) in Systematic Theology last March 2003. He is married to Rosalinda with two children.

Peter Yu
Finance

Peter Yu has been part of the church Eldership team since 2007 and an active member of the church for a couple of years now. A businessman, and married to Fe with five children.
 

Manuel R. Lao
Secretary

Manuel or Jack has been part of the church Eldership team since 2005 and has been attending church at DCAGC since 1982. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and is currently working at M.A Foundry Inc. as Assistant Manager. He is married to Lilian with two children.

Ronaldo P. Collado
Member

Ronaldo or Ronnie. He has been in the BOE since 2007 and has been a DCAGC member since 1997. A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, he is currently working at BDO Insurance Broker as AVP. He is also our church’s head of Health Development for the Missions Department and a faithful supporter of campus organizations like CCC. He is married to Ruth with three children.

Ariel C. Galiza
Member

Ariel has been with DCAGC since 2002 and an Elder since 2007. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He was formerly a government employee and is currently the head of the Relief and Development Services of the Missions Department. He is married to Teresita with one child.

Guillermo V. Maglanoc
Member

Guillermo or Boyet has been in the church Eldership team since 1998 and has been a member of the church since 1988. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is a restaurateur. He serves in a number of areas of ministry within the church, including the Alliance Men Philippines, and is currently the Administration Department Head of the DCAGC Human Resources. He is also a member of the Gideons International. He is married to Raquel with two children.

Hon. Bernard E. Al-ag
Member

Bernard or Bernie has been newly elected this year 2011 as one of the new members of the church Eldership team. He has been with DCAGC since 2000.
He is a graduate of Doctor of Optometry and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration. He works in the City Council as Councilor in the third district of Davao City. He is the Chairman of the Committee on Health, Vice Chairman of the Committee on Social Welfare and Development, Vice Chairman of the Committee on Trade and Industry, and Member of the Youth Development. Also, he is a Member of the Board of Trustees and Volunteer Doctor/Consultant of Davao Jubilee Foundation for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled, Inc. (DJFRDI). He is also Part Owner/Senior Optometrist of Toril Eye Center. He is part of the Board of Directors and VP for Community Development of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Davao Jaycees, a Member of Gideons International-Davao City South Camp, and Member of Sowers Toastmasters Club. He is married to Cherry Faye B. Al-ag with two children.

Dan D. Mitchao
Member

Dan is another newly elected member of the church Eldership team for this year 2011 and has been with DCAGC since 1992.
He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Master of Arts in Forest Biological Science. He works as Forestry Consultant and maintains a farm of his own. He is also involved with the Missions Department. He is married to Elsie Panes-Mitchao and they have two children.

Prescilo C. Engkong, M.D.
Member

Prescilo or Pres is an addition to the new members of the church Eldership team for this year 2011 and has been with DCAGC since 1991.
He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Medicine with specialty in OB-Gynecology. He works as an OB-Gynecologist at M’lang, North Cotabato and USM, Kabacan, North Cotabato. He is actively involved with the church’s Missions Department and also ministers God’s Word every fifth Sunday of the month. He is married to Lj Depakakibo-Engkong with three children.
